SWIGS 2014-2015 Executive Committee
SWIGS is proud to announce its new Executive Committee for 2014-2015, elected at our 2014 Annual General Meeting:

    RBC’s Gift of $1.75M

    A gift from the RBC Foundation of $1.75M was formally announced Tuesday, June 4th. The eight-year commitment to the University of Waterloo's Water Institute will support the development and implementation of the new collaborative Integrated Water Management Program (IWM) graduate program that will be available to students beginning this fall. The majority of the funds will be for scholarships (120 over eight years). Other areas of support include a visiting fellowship, student symposium and enrichment activities.

    Distinguished Lectures now on YouTube

    The Water Institute is pleased to announce that we have now posted our Distinguished Lecture Series on YouTube. The 2011 lecture by Prof. Tony Allan titled “Water Security and the Role of Trade” and the 2013 lecture by Prof. Asit Biswas titled “Future of the World’s Water: Rhetoric and Reality” can both be viewed from our channel.
